Some highlights

The Whisperers

Wat Phumin is the most famous landmark in Nan and is an ideal place to discover Nan culture. The outside of the temple has ornate Naga railings while the Thai Lu murals are responsible for the fame of the temple. One of the most famous-coloured frescoes is the “Whispering Lovers”. Thisimage could be considered as The most Iconic and Replicated everywhere is the province, in Thailand and even around the world.

Nan Riverside Art Gallery

This fantastic galley is located a few kilometres of capital of the province on the banks of the Nan River. The gallery was founded by Winai Prabripoo – one of the best-known contemporary artists from Thailand – and functions as an important hub for art and culture for the Nan province. Spend a few hours marvelling at the exhibitions or relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Thanks to our personal contact with the founder, he will make us the honour to welcome you and organise dedicated workshops linked to the local painting patrimony and its future. We guarantee some unforgettable moments.

Route number 3

In the Nan province, a scenic patch of roadway called Road 3 is becoming a popular and very photogenic tourist destination. The road has been nicknamed Road No 3 because its turns make it look like the number three. Highway 1081 cut through the beautiful hillsides of the northern province connecting the Bo Kluea district to the Santi Suk district.

Nan coffee and chocolate productions

Highland areas in Thailand suffer from deforestation due to overproduction of maize and more ecologically favourable crops such as coffee or cacao were perceived as attractive alternatives. Beyond the obvious option to export coffee and cacao, policy schemes are being enacted to promote local production for local consumption. A domestic boom in coffee consumption and shifting cultural values toward the practice of coffee drinking has, put farmers in a position to benefit by cashing in on “local coffee” and improving environmental conditions. Both productions of coffee and cacao are today real assets for the region thanks, of course also, of the quality of the productions. An absolute Must Taste

Feedback
We had the chance to discover a part of Thailand that is mainly unknown to the mass tourism. Thanks to your advices and network, we enjoyed deeply this still unknown region of Thailand with its specific culture, magnificent sceneries, its food and its unforgettable people kindness. We particularly enjoyed the trip on the river Nan and the unforgettable landscape of Bo Kluea. As you advices us we will come back a little bit later in the year to have the chance to rediscover this region a lot more greener thanks to the rainy season. We really look forward coming back and advice to all travellers to discover this beautiful province.

What a great trip we had in February 2023

We challenged you to surprise us with a week of food and culture real discovery. You proposed us to guide us though the province of Nan and we came back super happy and enthusiastic. I would like to highlight two main points: the Nan Art Gallery for Thai contemporary artists and the day we have spent with Khun Jun , who is a local farmer who explained us how is working today , shared his experience and invited us to a fantastic local lunch in the middle of his rice field. Each day was a day of discovery, and we keep so many good souvenirs from this trip that we will advice to our close friends to visit Nan and we hope to come back next year probably at the end of the year to participate to different local events.
